St Gilles Croix de Vie and further north St Jean de Monts .

At Sables D'Olonne you can also visit the zoo, the famous Automobile Museum with over 150 vehicles on show and the seashell museum.

For a truly memorable day out visit Le Puy du Fou (50 miles) with two attractions in one - Le Grand Parc devoted to history and ecology and Cinescenie, the biggest outdoor show in Europe with hundreds of actors, knights on horseback, lights and water.

The picturesque village of Apremont with its distinctive chateau built around 1535 is just 30 mins. away. For the sporting there is a karting track within 10 miles, and the golf courses at Olonne sur Mer and Talmont-St-Hilaire are within a short drive of the campsite.
